Roaster’s Notebook started with a simple goal: to find better coffee.

Back in 2018, our coffee journey began with a humble popcorn maker and a curiosity about what freshly roasted coffee could taste like. Before long, we upgraded to a second-hand Bhemor 1600 and spent countless evenings learning, experimenting, and filling notebooks with roast profiles, tasting notes, and lessons learned.

What started as a hobby quickly became an obsession.

Living in Utah County, we often found ourselves searching for exceptional specialty coffee and unique food experiences. We wanted coffees with distinct origin character, thoughtful roasting, and the kind of quality that made us excited to brew another cup. Instead of settling, we decided to learn how to roast our own.

In early 2026, we decided to take the leap and share our coffee with others.

Today, Roaster’s Notebook is a husband-and-wife team dedicated to roasting coffees that we’re genuinely excited to drink ourselves. Every coffee is selected, roasted, and evaluated with the same care that first inspired us to roast at home.

But coffee is about more than what's in the cup.

Some of our most meaningful conversations, deepest friendships, and favorite memories have happened around a table with good food and a great drink. We love the way coffee slows people down, creates space for connection, and brings together friends, family, neighbors, and strangers alike.
